In Memory of Dr. David Jordan

Dr David Jordan Feb 17, 1944 – Sept 18, 2016 Dr Jordan dedicated his life to the betterment and improvement of karate students world wide. In short, his karate life started in the early 60’s under Atlee Chittim (his USKA membership number under Robert A Trias was #1). Dr Jordan would take the State Director role when Master Chittim was promoted to Regional Director and move up to Regional Director when Master Chittim retired. When Master Trias passed in 1989, he paired up with Master James Hawkes to keep the organization alive and they grew it even larger.

After the passing of Master Hawkes, Dr Jordan worked to fulfill a promise to keep moving forward and always kept Master Trias’ and Master Hawkes’ memories alive. Although Dr Jordan’s passing was sudden, he left a legacy that all the senior USKA members will keep alive and moving forward.

He will be missed but not forgotten.
