WARMUP

  • 5x Rockets: Jump as high as you can from a squat
  • 5x Spiderman Jumps: Jump as high as you can from a squat and slap your feet with your hands once before you land
  • 5x Ninja Jumps: From a kneeling position spring up to a squat, then jump as high as you can
  • 5x Hurdles: Jump over an object of objects (sofa cushions, pillows, etc.) from a standstill starting and landing with feet together, and bringing the knees up high while jumping

WORKOUT

All techniques should be thrown 5 times on each side against a kicking shield (if you don’t have one, use a sofa cushion or appropriately sized pillow, etc.)

Front Snap Kick: Knee up high, hit with the ball of the foot, bring back to knee.
Side Kick: Knee up high, hit with the heel, foot sideways, bring back to knee. .
Back Kick: Knee up high, hit with heel, foot straight up and down, bring back to knee.
Front Roundhouse Kick: Knee up high, hit with top of foot, bring back to knee.
Backhand Strike: Elbow up, swing out with first two knuckles, snap back to position.
Reverse Punch: Drive straight out from hip, elbow stays tight to body (no chicken wing,) roll fist all the way over to hit with first two knuckles, snap back to hip upside-down again.
